The parish council meeting due to be held tonight, November 7th, has had to be postponed as insufficient councillors can attend to make the meeting quorate. I apologise for any inconvenience and will re-arange the meeting for as soon as possible.
The parish council has been given permission to co-opt two new councillors. There is a notice on the village noticeboards and posted below and, if interested, please download an application form or request an application form from the clerk. Applications need to be received by Friday November 1st and will be considered at the next parish council meeting on November 7th.
There are two vacancies for councillors on the Parish Council. Please see the notice below.
The parish council has accepted the resignation of Councillor Cutler and Councillor Wardman from the parish council with immediate effect. Both Neil and Elisa have been very active councillors and their input and help has been invaluable. Particular thanks go to Elisa for taking on the role of chair of the parish council. We thank them for their work and wish them both all the best with new ventures.
Leaflets outlining the risk and problems of not cleaning up after your dog are being distributed around the villages. Please note that bags of dog poo can be placed in the ordinary rubbish bins rather than having to find special bins. A copy of the leaflet can be found here – thankyou for cleaning up after your pet.
The Parish Council has applied for a grant to help with the purchase of a defibrillator for Hutton Conyers – watch this space!
Following the collapse of the wall at the bottom of Hutton Conyers last year the bus timetable display board was left dirty and broken. This has now been replaced so, although it won’t give the village more buses, it will at least tell us when we can expect one.
