Council’s response to complaint

At the last parish council meeting a statement was approved regarding a resident’s complaint in Copt Hewick.  North Yorkshire Council have exonerated Mr and Mrs Roebuck of any planning breaches at Muyden Chase, and the parish council apologises again for the way in which the matter was handled. The full text of the document can be found in Council Documents.

Spring is on its way

Thankyou to Neil Cutler for this pretty photo of snowdrops in Copt Hewick, a reassurance as you scrape your windscreen that Spring is on its way.

Resignation

I’m sorry to announce that John Blakey has resigned from the parish council due to work commitments.  We are sorry to lose him and wish him well. This does mean that we now have a second vacancy so please do get in touch if you feel you could serve your local community as a parish councillor.

The parish council has received a grant of £500 from North Yorkshire Council to help towards the cost of a defibrillator for Hutton Conyers.  We have applied for further financial help from the Department of Health and Social Care and will keep you updated.

Councillor resignations

The parish council has accepted the resignation of Councillor Cutler and Councillor Wardman from the parish council with immediate effect.  Both Neil and Elisa have been very active councillors and their input and help has been invaluable. Particular thanks go to Elisa for taking on the role of chair of the parish council. We thank them for their work and wish them both all the best with new ventures.
